As a family we went to Davison Apple Orchard in Vernon. We had a train ride around the property, seeing the different produce the grow (peppers, squash, apples, corn…) The kids heard of the 25 varieties of apple they grow and why. Then they learned how to pick and each filled a bag. We then toured the packing, storing and juicing facilities, finishing off with a tasting of their Apple Juice.
We then had lunch and playtime in the Fun Coral. There was a giant Spider Web to climb, a tall slide, tricycles and other farm-themed activities.
We visited the animals and experienced their sight, loud sounds and peculiar smells.
