Well folks, I’m still here. At home that is, waiting for Baby 3 to say “I’m ready to come out now”. Jason, Joshua and I went for my final pre-delivery examination today. Here’s the scoop: I’m nearly 3cm dilated, I have bulging membranes (apparently that’s a good thing), the head is lower, and baby is still active. We filmed the Doppler sounds of the heart beat. It’s not so good on tape as it is live, but it’s something. Joshua got a kick out of that.
The low-down is, if I don’t go into labour on my own by Wednesday night, I get to call the hospital Thursday morning at 6:30 to be told when to come in that day to be induced. That would only make me 7 days overdue, as opposed to 10 like the other two kids. I can live with that! I must say, I am feeling a lot more tired with this little one than I felt with the other two at this point.
