Wednesday, I called in at 6:30am and was tld to call back at 8am. I called back at 8am and was told there were too many inductions from Monday still in process, and too many natural labours going on for me to be induced that day. They did tell me to come in for tests at 11:30 though. A nurses hooked me up for the NST. I was monitored, and all was fine. My doctor came to see me as she was already in the hospital for another of her patients. She said it was most unfortunate that there was no labour room available for me, should the Prostoglandin Gel have been administered that day. I’ll have to be pregnant for another day. She did laughingly say that should I happen to come in later that day in natural labour, they would find me a bed somewhere. I found out later that women were being redirected to Vernon and Vancouver. Crazy! At 1pm we went down for another Ultrasound to check on the fluid levels. They were at 15.1 (whatever that means :)). Dr. Reynolds was pleased with the positive results and sent us home to rest. We’ll try again Thursday.
